Introduction

This page will allow you to set up and use the unsubscribe to marketing emails link.

Navigate to the Email Templates in the system settings pagewithin System Settings

How to set up the email

Create The Unsubscribe link can be added to any template you require it to be on, or of course you can create a new template and give it a name and subject (Unsubscribe to Marketing) Once you have done this, on

On the right hand side of the screen you will find the merge fields. Scroll down to ‘Other Details’ and click to show the fields. At the bottom you will see a ‘UnsubscribeLink’ field. Add this to the email.

Move this created merge field <<UnsubscribeLink>> to its required location within the template.

Then click ‘Save Email Template’


Using the Email Template

After you have created this template it is ready to use.

Find your client / applicant individual you would like to send this to and click on their email, or it will generate via a Stage/Status driven email or from within an Automated email.

Select the template you have created.

You should see a Hyperlink that says ‘Unsubscribe’ as shown on the right.

Then send the email.

Within the email the following wording will display, hyperlinked


What the link does

Once the email has been sent, the customer individual should receive an email that looks like the example on the right

When the customer individual clicks on the link it should take them to the following page

Once the customer individual has clicked the ‘Unsubscribe’ button they should be redirected to another page

Once complete, the ‘Consent’ for marketing should have automatically changed to ‘Consent Withdrawn’area within each Individual for will show the following
