Introduction

This guide is to show you how to enable and set up Toolbox for your CRM

Requesting Toolbox

The first step Is to contact Toolbox IT Support it.support@primis.co.uk as they need written consent from the Principle of your business. Please also add broker.suppoert@finova.tech to your email to Toolbox.

When you send through this email, please let us know if you want to manually configure your own fact find to work with the integration as per our Toolbox Factfind Integration - Factfind Applicant Selection guide or if you are wanting us to provide a pre-configured fact find as well as a few prebuilt suitability letters to go with it. Please be aware that the Toolbox Fact Find is not compatible with the finova Client Portal fact find.

We will then carry out the necessary actions to enable the integration for your site and will update you on your ticket to let you know once it is enabled.

Enabling the integration for your user

After receiving confirmation that Toolbox has be enabled for your site the next step is to enable it for your user, this process will need to be carried out for any users that want to use the integration.

1. Head into your user details

The easiest way to get here is to click the dropdown in the top right hand corner and click “Edit Your Details”

2. Change the Toolbox dropdown to Yes

3. Click “Get the API key from Toolbox” link (You will need to already be logged into Toolbox for this)

4. Click “Create API Access Key”

5. Give the key a label and click “Generate”

6. Click “Copy Access Key”

7. Head back into your user details on the finova Broker CRM and enter your Toolbox Username and API Key into the boxes highlighted below

8. Save your user

Final Configuration

There is one final configuration that needs to be done before Toolbox is ready for your site, this will only have to be done once and doesn’t have to be done per user.

You will need to head into your System Settings and find the option called “Toolbox User Mapping”. Here you will see a list of all users on your CRM with a dropdown box next to them. For any advisors whose products you want to export into Toolbox, you will need to click on the dropdown box against their CRM User and select their Toolbox user
