2 Factor Authentication Login

Introduction:

CRM now supports Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for additional security, making it easier for our customers to protect their user data, meet compliance obligations and prevent security breaches in a free and effective process.

 With 2FA, customers can reduce the risk of security breaches by adding an extra layer of security that prevents bad actors from accessing accounts by either guessing passwords or gaining access to their devices.

 Customers have the option to use authentication apps that support the Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) protocol such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy, the desktop authenticator application.

Can I use a desktop application?

Yes you can, for example you can use Authy.

After install, follow Authy’s online guide to enable the service.

You will then be able to add an account, where you manually enter the key (see pic 2 above)

 


After entering the key, you will be asked to name the account and choose a logo, in this example we named it ‘EKeeper’.

Click on save when ready.


You will now have a 6 digit code to enter into the EKeeper login screen.

Note, this code lasts for 30 seconds, where the code changes.
