Zapier - Using a Trigger

Zapier - Using a Trigger

How to create and use a Zapier Trigger

By creating a trigger you able to setup a chain of events, using information from a product within EKeeper, to trigger certain action(s) against other Apps within Zapier.

The triggers in EKeeper occur when a product moves to new stages within the workflow you have created in EKeeper.

Step 1:

Navigate to the home page of Zapier and click on the make a zap button.

Step 2:

Search and select the EKeeper App.

Step 3:

You are now able to select the product type you wish to trigger the planned Zapier action(s).

Mortgage Product or Protection Product

Then click continue.

Step 4:

Zapier will now ask you to confirm the account, again select ekeeper and then continue.

Step 5:

Next we choose which of the workflow stage you would like the trigger to be against.

Click on the Stage tab to reveal the stage list and select one.

NOTE:

If you would like the same trigger to be against more than one stage, Zapier requires you to create a new zap for each one.

Step 6:

Next we choose which system user you would like the trigger to be against.

Click on the Stage tab to reveal the stage list and select one

NOTE:

If you would like the same trigger to be against more than one user, Zapier requires you to create a new zap for each one.

INFORMATION:

If you have recently made changes to your EKeeper product workflow and/or system users, and you cannot see these in the displayed listing, the click the Refresh Fields button to update these.

Step 7:

Click continue once you have made your sections.

Step 8:

Zapier will ask you to test the trigger, before allowing you to continue.

Step 9:

Zapier will return and display the a sample of the data captured from EKeeper.

If you are happy with this, click continue, otherwise return to Step 5 or 6 to make adjustments.

Step 10:

You are now ready to create the action.

The options are numerous.

In this example, we have chosen to create a diary entry into a Gmail Calendar.

After confirming login details to you chosen App, you are then able to create the action.

In the example here, we have chosen to create a diary entry to call a customer, where the body of the diary contains details of the customer, pulled from their EKeeper record.

Once the action set up is complete the Zap is ready to use.
